[CompSoc-News] Fwd: News Admin (fwd)

Sending this mail to this list because the alladmins list hasn't been
populated fully yet.


Is there anyone interested in becoming news admin? The intersocs have
contacted the society. They have set up a NNTP server on HEANet which will
manage some intersoc related feeds. We need someone who will take over the
news setup, get familiar with how it works and set up our feeds on this
end.

It's not that hard a task but it'll take a while to get familiar with the
news setup and the like. The only real requesite skills here is the
ability to read manuals and you'll be given a hand getting started.

Once you're done, there will be a few new groups on ltin which are
actually groups located elsewhere which more than just the UL CompSoc are
participating in. We have all the information needed to set this up
ready, just need someone to do the work
