Hi All,
We have received the 2 new 300GB hard disks for holly. This is allow a
new /home 10 times bigger than it currently is while also providing
redundancy (Yay!)

To put in the disks, holly has to be taken down which effectively mean
that the Skynet cluster will be down for as long as this takes.

So, downtime is scheduled for 13:00, Thursday 9th Feb. Shouldn't be
down for more than 20 minutes.

Also, the certs for the mailserver have been regenerated. In line with
our new policy that the primary domain is skynet.ie, the mail
certificate has been issued to mail.skynet.ie This won't break
anything but if you are getting errors about domain security mismatch
in your mail client, change the server names (both incoming and
outgoing) to mail.skynet.ie. pine and mutt on skynet should be unaffected.

While we're on the subject, we *strongly* suggest that users using
external mail clients (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird,
Evolution etc.) to get their Skynet e-mail use secure connections
(IMAPS or POP3S). Usually, this is just a matter of ticking a "use
secure connection" box.

Regards,
Cian Davis
