Hi All,
We've completed testing of the new webserver and only minor problems
have been reported.
On this basis, we are going to go ahead and migrate to the new
webserver on Wednesday, 28th February at 18:30. Hopefully, you
shouldn't even notice.
If you haven't tested, I suggest you do so now.
I'm going to do the demonstration to anyone who wants to come along.
At 18:00, I'll do a demonstration of installing the new skynet login
server. Once that is done, I'll proceed with the migration of orac.
It'll give a good idea of the setup of Skynet but also, and more
importantly, a view into how we do major admin work, how we test and
how we deal with the problems that come up.
We do need admins. So if you have an interest, come a long and have a
look.
18:00 in the server room (SU1-17) upstairs in the students union.
Regards,
Cian Davis
