[CompSoc-News] Skycon '09 - Feb 14th - Week 3

Hey all,

We're two weeks away from Skycon '09 (2009-02-14) and things are starting 
to come together. We posted a provisional timetable [1] up on the site 
today, but keep in mind that it's not final, there may be a few changes 
to come.

We've created a twitter account for updates, and it'd probably be a good 
plan to keep an eye on that for the latest news over the coming days.

In terms of talks, we have a keynote lined up with Randall Munroe, author 
of xkcd. We have talks from Microsoft, AIB, Havok, Daft.ie, FreeBSD, 
OpenStreetMap, our own Mel Gorman, Evart Bopp and John Lunney. We also 
have a talk from a computer forensics company.

There'll be a three course sit down dinner that evening in the Lodge 
Hotel, and we'll probably all end up lodging it downstairs after.

Tickets for the talks (which will be on in the CSIS building) cost E5, and 
dinner will cost E20. Pre-booking for both will be available on the site 
in the next few days.

the twitter feed and above all, make sure you're free that weekend.
