'William Godwin's Diary:
Reconstructing a Social and Political Culture, 1788-1836'
Dr David O'Shaughnessy (University of Oxford)
Jointly Organised with the UL-MIC Centre for Historical Research
Dr David O'Shaughnessy is a Junior Research Fellow at Linacre College
and a lecturer at St Hugh's College, University of Oxford. He is
currently co-editing the diary of William Godwin (1756-1836) on a
three-year project funded by the Leverhulme Trust (see:
http://godwindiary.politics.ox.ac.uk/). His research interests include
Godwin and his circle, Jacobin literature and the theatre of the 1790s.
He is the editor of The Plays of William Godwin (Pickering & Chatto,
forthcoming 2010) and author of William Godwin and the Theatre
(Pickering & Chatto, forthcoming 2010).
The Seminar will take place at 5.30 p.m. in Room G08 at Mary Immaculate
College.
