Hunt the Postcard at the Hunt Museum Limerick

Saturday 28th November, 10am to 5pm

Sunday 29th November 2pm to 5pm

On those days, the gallery at The Hunt Museum, will be filled with OVER 600 postcard-sized works of art, which have been generously donated by artists from all over Ireland and other countries.  See www.huntmuseum.com for full list of artists.

What is so wonderful and unique about this sale is that buyers cannot be influenced by the fame of the artist but buy simply because they love the work.   Only after buying , can  they turn over their purchase and see the name of the artist.  This provides a great buzz of excitement to the day, particularly if someone has unknowingly bought the work of a well-known artist.   This is a very  unique Christmas shopping experience and with each work costing only €50 great bargains are available. 

 

Guidelines for buying an original work of art.

* Tickets may be purchased in the museum on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November for €50 each.

* Up to 4 tickets only may be purchased at one time.  This money is non-refundable.

* A list of the artists taking part will be available at the museum on sale days.

* Then, proceed to the gallery, to view the work and make a selection.

* When you have made your selection you will exchange your ticket for the work of your choice.

* When you have made your purchase, you will know that you have just bought an original work of art for only €50, and at the same time, you have helped to support the work of the Hunt Museum.

* Members of the Council for the Friends of the Hunt Museum and Hunt Museum staff are excluded from taking part in the sale.

AND REMEMBER, 

three years ago, when we had this event before, all postcards were sold out within three hours….

WHEN  ALL THE POSTCARDS ARE GONE….THEY ARE GONE
