Following their enormous recent success with The Threepenny Opera at the Franciscan Church, Limerick, Bare Space Theatre Company proudly presents Let’s Go To The Movies! An Evening of Movie Musical Treasures. In a departure from their usual theatrical repertoire, Bare Space Theatre Company has plundered the celluloid vaults to find the music that made some of our favourite films so memorable. 

 

Film music and songs have helped to create some of the defining movie moments. Imagine The Wizard of Oz without Over the Rainbow, Casablanca without As Time Goes By or Dirty Dancing without Patrick Swayze gyrating his hips to I’ve Had the Time of My Life? Join us at the Strand Hotel on Thursday April 8th and indulge in some favourite songs and music from films including Mary Poppins, Singin' in the Rain, Titanic, Mamma Mia plus selections from family films such as The Muppet Movie and  Hans Christian Anderson.

 

We’ll also hear from Limerick’s own ‘Rat Pack’ and ‘Bond Girls’! With performances by some of Limerick’s most talented performers and best-known musicians and singers, this is a night that will send you home with a smile on your face and some pep in your step!
