[Events] The Shane Geoghegan Trust & Connemara Marathon

Hi all,

 

A few of Shane’s mates have got together and are running the Connemara Marathon (half) this Sunday, they include myself, Fergus Sheehan, John Paul Baggott and Colm Moriarty. We are doing it to raise money for the Shane Geoghegan Trust.

 

The Shane Geoghegan Trust, a registered charity, was launched in Limerick in October 2009. This initiative is a positive response by family and friends to the brutal murder of Shane Geoghegan in Limerick last November. 

Building on its motto, “helping lives shine”, the Trust aims to offer children a range of community-based sporting and creative activities as more desirable alternatives to anti-social behaviour.

We also have left buckets in O’Dwyers Pub, Garryowen FC and EBS Crescent. Donations over €5 will be entered into a draw for a signed Irish Jersey (Paul O’Connell, Eoin Reddan and Jerry Flannery).
