Greek Chorus, Posse or Lynch Mob? The Role of Accountants in Corporate
Governance

Bio: Prof. Niamh Brennan, who holds the Michael MacCormac Professor of
Management at University College Dublin and is Academic Director of the
Centre for Corporate Governance at UCD, is a leading expert on corporate
governance. An experienced lecturer, Prof. Brennan has published widely
in the areas of Financial Reporting, Corporate Governance and Forensic
Accounting. In recent years, Prof. Brennan has also held a number of
high-profile directorships with Irish entities and in March 2009 was
appointed by the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local
Government as the Chairperson of the Dublin Docklands Development
Authority.
