Burren Marathon Challenge: Saturday, 22rd May

 

Enjoy the beauty of the Burren in all its glory by participating in the
third Burren Marathon on May 22rd.  This is a road, green road and trail
challenge across the scenic Burren and is a unique opportunity to enjoy
some of Europe's most unique landscapes and see the riches of the Burren
wild flowers in full bloom..

 

The two previous Burren Marathon have been outstanding successes, each
attracting well over 1,000 participants and this year's event promises
to be an even bigger and better day out.  This event has something for
everyone as it includes a mini-marathon, a half-marathon and a full
marathon, suitable for walking, jogging or running.  All three start and
finish in Ballvaughan and the route brings you through the most scenic
parts of the magical Burren region. The marathon is organised by the
Ballyvoughan Fanore Walking Club which organises weekly walks in and
around the Burren and other scenic parts of the country.  

 

Closing date for entries is May 10th.  Application form and full details
