Livia Nagy (cello)

 

Bach Cello Suite No 6 in D major

 

Livia graduated with a degree in classical cello performance from the Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary. She has been a member of the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra in Veszprem, and the Dohnanyi Symphony Orchestra in Budapest. She has also collaborated with the Liszt ferenc Chamber Orchestra in Budapest. She has performed in many of the great concert halls of Hungary, such as, The Palace of Arts and the Great Hall of the Liszt Academy. Livia is currently studying with Ferenc Szucs as part of the MA in Classical String Performance at the Irish World Academy, UL. She has been awarded the RTÉ Lyric FM Scholarship. The solo cello suites of J. S. Bach occupy a most significant place in her repertoire and in this concert she will play the beautiful sixth solo suite in D major.
