Speaker: Connie Farrell, Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology

Time/Date: 4.00pm on Tuesday, 23rd February 2010

Connie will speak to our final year undergraduates as part of the module
on France and the Media (FR4148/4248). This talk should be of
particular interest to those working on film and the media but all are
welcome!

Born in California, Farrell received her BA from Columbia University in
New York and MA in Screenwriting from The National Film School, in Dun
Laoghaire. She has worked extensively as an editor, director and
screenwriter for film and television in New York, Los Angeles, London
and the former USSR. Farrell currently lectures in the Film+TV
Department of the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology in digital
editing, screenwriting and 16mm film production.

Farrell will discuss the art of editing, its process, and expressive
editing as a cinematic element in narrative film.

Best wishes,

Imogen
