Public Lecture:

The Real St Patrick

Date: Friday, 12 March 2010

Time: 7.30 PM

Venue: Conradh na Gaeilge Hall, Thomas Street, Limerick

Speaker: Rev. Angus Stewart, Covenant Protestant Reformed Church

Host: Limerick Reformed Fellowship <http://www.limerickreformed.com/>

St Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, is commonly depicted as a Roman
Catholic bishop and is widely thought to have brought Catholicism to
Ireland. In popular folklore he is believed to have worked several
miracles; notable among them the banishing of serpents from the island.

But who is the real person behind the mythology and what did he believe

Most importantly, what kind of gospel did he preach - a gospel of works
salvation, or a gospel of salvation by grace alone?

There will be a short Q&A after the lecture, as well as a book table
(including CDs, DVDs, tapes, free pamphlets, etc.) and a cup of tea.

All welcome.
