New Time Ensemble comprises four international postgraduate students who met

while pursuing the MA in Traditional Irish Music Performance course at the University of

Limerick. The band emerged from a shared passion for animating traditional Irish tunes

in new ways-incorporating influences from France, Scotland, and the U.S. New Time

Ensemble features Frédéric Pouille (guitar), Kay Vickers (fiddle), Leslie Anne Harrison

(flute), and Liz Davis Maxfield (cello).

 

* The reception also celebrates a year-long collaboration between the University of

Limerick and the U.S. Fulbright Program, an organisation designed to increase mutual

respect and understanding through educational and cultural exchanges. Liz Davis

Maxfield is the Academy's visiting student Fulbright grantee.
