color:black'>TG4 young musician of the Year 2003, fiddle player <b><span
style='font-weight:bold'>Ciarán Ó Maonaigh</span></b> hails from the Gaoth
Dobhair gaeltacht in Co. Donegal. He was heavily influenced by his extended
family when growing up including his grandfather, the legendary Francie Mooney
and Altan members Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh and Frankie Kennedy, and <st1:place
w:st="on">Derry</st1:place> fiddle player Dermot McLaughlin. Ciarán, a three-time
Oireachtas fiddle champion, released his first album <i><span style='font-style:
italic'>Ceol a’Ghleanna</span></i>/The Music of the Glen on the Claddagh
Records label in 2004 and he has also produced numerous music documentaries for
Irish TV stations RTÉ & TG4. <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>Aidan
O’Donnell</span></b> From Dunkineely, Co.Donegal, has been described as
one of the finest young Irish musicians in the country. He began his music
making at the age of 12, and since then has performed with some of traditional
music’s finest artists, including Dónal Lunny, Micheal Ó Súilleabháin and
The Chieftains. In 2007, he won the prestigious <i><span style='font-style:
italic'>Oireachtas na Geailge</span></i> fiddle title, and has been a regular
tutor at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance for the past number of
years. He released his critically acclaimed debut album in 2006 with Mayo flute
player Kieran Munnelly, called <i><span style='font-style:italic'>In Safe Hands,</span></i>
which was described by Matt Molloy of the Chieftains as ‘A salute to the
players that have gone before’. <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>Damien McGeehan
</span></b>began playing Irish traditional music at a very young age. Citing
the Donegal style of fiddling as his main influence, he has toured <st1:country-region
w:st="on">Ireland</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Great
Britain</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Italy</st1:country-region>,
<st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Australia</st1:place></st1:country-region>
and Scandanavia. He has made numerous appearances on national/international
television and radio and has performed alongside acts such as The Chieftains,
Niall Keegan, Mícheál Ó Suilleabháin, Frankie Gavin, Eileen Ivers and The World
Youth Chamber Orchestra. He has studied at the <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Royal</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Scottish</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Academy</st1:PlaceType>
of Music and Dance (<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Glasgow</st1:City></st1:place>)
and recently completed the BA Irish Music at the Irish World Academy of Music
and Dance. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
