Politics at the <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType> of
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Liverpool</st1:PlaceName> and Head of the <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType w:st="on">School</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Politics</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> and Communication Studies. He was
Chair of the Youth Citizenship Commission 2008-09 and President of the Political
Studies Association of the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">United Kingdom</st1:place></st1:country-region>. Professor Tonge has
written extensively on various aspects of British and Irish politics, publishing
14 books and dozens of journal articles and book chapters. He has co-edited
studies of the last three general elections with Manchester University Press and
Palgrave and is co-editing a study of the 2010 contest for <I><SPAN
style="FONT-STYLE: italic">Parliamentary Affairs </SPAN></I>and Oxford
University Press. A regular television and radio broadcaster sits on the
editorial boards of <EM><I><FONT face=Cambria><SPAN
style="FONT-FAMILY: Cambria">Parliamentary Affairs</SPAN></FONT></I></EM>,
<I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">Politics Review</SPAN></I> and <EM><I><FONT
