Eagles won both their games in a tough double header weekend with a home win on
Saturday night against Moycullen, 77 to 66, and an away win against UCC Demons
81 to 73 on Sunday. It was a big weekend for the Eagles who had lost their
unbeaten league record the previous week and were determined to get back to
winning ways. They achieved this with 2 weekend wins that leaves them top of
their conference going into the Christmas break.</span></font><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>The
Eagles ground out a solid win on Saturday against Moycullen in front of a full
house at the UL Arena. Moycullen provided tough opposition but the Eagles were
never headed after the first quarter and reached the final buzzer with a 77 to
66 winning score line.</span></font><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>On
Sunday afternoon the UL Eagles were in action again in a top of the table clash
in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Cork</st1:City></st1:place> with
UCC Demons. Again they put together a very solid performance, doing a
fine job defensively to hold Demons and also scoring well throughout the game.
The Eagles got their noses in front early in the first quarter and led to the
end of the game. Scott Kinevane led the way from the point and scored a
game high of 24.</span></font><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>On
both days UL Eagles had big games from their bench with excellent displays from
Robbins, Campbell, Hall, Lynch, King, Kinevane, Wong, and Holden.</span></font><o:p></o:p></p>

font-family:Arial'>UL Eagles now go into the Christmas break at the top of
their division with 9 wins from 10 starts. The first away game of 2010 is in <st1:place
