<B><I><FONT COLOR="#000000">Would you like to participate in a calibration study for a brand new non-invasive Haemoglobin sensor system?</FONT></I></B><BR>

<B><FONT COLOR="#000000">Study Purpose</FONT></B><BR>

<FONT COLOR="#000000">In collaboration with the ECE department and the Graduate Entry Medical School an innovative non-invasive hemoglobin sensor system has been developed. </FONT>In order to calibrate this device it is essential that blood samples analysed using the device are compared with samples obtained using established invasive methods.<BR>
<BR>
<B><I><FONT COLOR="#000000">Who is needed? </FONT></I></B><BR>
<B><I><FONT COLOR="#000000"> </FONT></I></B><BR>
<BR>
<FONT COLOR="#000000">Students or staff of the University of Limerick aged over 18.</FONT><BR>
<BR>
<B><I><FONT COLOR="#000000"> </FONT></I></B><BR>
<B><I><FONT COLOR="#000000">What do you have to do?</FONT></I></B><BR>
<BR>
<FONT COLOR="#000000"> </FONT><BR>
<FONT COLOR="#000000">You will need to attend a 10 minute testing session in the Graduate Entry Medical School. During that time your haemoglobin level will be measured </FONT>using the newly developed non-invasive device and an established invasive blood probe “Hemocue”. The latter involves taking a very small sample of blood from your finger tip. <BR>
