<BLOCKQUOTE style="WIDOWS: 2; ORPHANS: 2; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm"><FONT color=#000000><FONT face="Verdana, sans-serif"><FONT style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt" size=2>Today's Mooney Show on RTE Radio One will highlight the Irish World Academy’s Certificate in Irish Music and Dance. <SPAN lang=en>The Certificate in Music and Dance, supported by the Nomad project, is a progression and access-based programme which is offered as a two-year part time, or full-time for one-year course and offers learning by distance, enabling the learner to complete modules from home, community centres or while in employment. </SPAN></FONT></FONT></FONT></BLOCKQUOTE>

<P><FONT color=#000000><FONT face="Verdana, sans-serif"><FONT style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt" size=2>Today's programme will feature interviews and performances from Selina O’Leary and Liz O’Connor, both from Co Carlow, who are members of the Traveller community and students of the Certificate at Academy's partner organisation, Co Carlow VEC Education and Training Centre. Selina and Liz will perform at Carnegie Hall New York on May 21st next, as part of the 'Discovering Abilities' event. Accompanied by Course Director Julie Tiernan (guitar), PhD student and Certificate tutor Thomas Johsnton (uilleann pipes) and Nomad tutor Antonio Garcia-Lopez (fiddle), the trip promises to be a very special occasion. Selina and Liz will join a short list of Travellers who have performed at Carnegie Hall and in fact will be the first Traveller women to perform at this iconic hall.</FONT></FONT></FONT></P>
