transport<o:p></o:p></span></font></b></p>

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>Abstract:&nbsp; Soil
erosion and the associated nutrient fluxes can lead to severe land degradation
and the pollution of surface waters. By coupling the physics-based
Hairsine-Rose soil erosion model with the Saint-Venant equations, we can model
the dynamic processes of soil erosion and sediment transport over non-uniform topography.
The model output, given in terms of discharge and sediment concentrations, can
then be used to predict nutrient fluxes from the system.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

volume scheme for the solution of the full hyperbolic system and show that the
model can reproduce experimental observations of soil erosion under a number of
